Loop around the Needle

After an aborted attempt to hike around the needle a few weeks ago, due to running into a rattlesnake on the trail, I went out again on Sunday to try it again. Sunday was fairly cool for my 12-13 mile loop hike. I decided to do the loop counter-clockwise to change things up a bit this time. I got a late start (11am) and it took me about 7 hours, which put me back right after sunset. I was at Freemont saddle about an hour before sunset and thought the view of Weaver's Needle to be quite nice at that time of day. There is a 19 mile loop hike through Barkley Valley that I am considering doing soon.
