Went hiking to at Smith Ravine, just sound of Prescott, AZ. It was 6 miles round trip. The trail was pretty good overall. The weather was nice, typical for this time of year... overcast, with storms threatening. I did not get rained on fortunately. I went over to Brian's place for some games tonight after that. We played Tigris & Euphrates, which was a pretty fun game. I met Jeff again (guy I bought Railroad Tycoon from) and his girl, Jessie. Also met a guy named David for the second game we played. I'll probably be back over there tomorrow evening for another bit of gaming.

Woodchute Wilderness Hike
Lea and I went up this past Sunday to Woodchute Wilderness and did about a 7.5-8 mile round trip hike. The weather was wonderful, overcast for most of it, but we never actually got rained on. It was a fairly decent workout, as my legs are still sore today. Afterwards we drove into Jerome, AZ (which was only a few miles north) and ate at a restaurant there. Traffic coming back was not too bad, we got caught up a bit on the last few miles of I-17.

Board Gaming in Ahwatukee
I went over last night to another guy's place in Ahwatukee last night to play Duel of Ages. His name was Brian and he was a pretty cool guy. He was into miniatures and other games that looked cool. His wife was named Debbie and had a girl (age 4) named Megan and a son (age 2) named Chris. He is friends with Jeff, who is the person I bought Railroad Tycoon from. Hopefully we'll play some more games in the future. Tonight I'm bringing Railroad Tycoon, Pirates Cove, Shadows over Camelot, and Ticket to Ride into work to play. Its raining like hell outside right now.

Railroad Tycoon
Bought a new game called Railroad Tycoon. Played it a couple of times and people seem to mostly like it. Pat even played with us. I also discovered trading games on boardgamegeek.com and traded away my Duel of Ages set for Pirate's Cove and Shadows over Camelot. The trading is really cool, and I'm looking forward to doing that more often with games.

Board Game Weekend
This weekend Lea was out of town visiting her Mom in Illinois. I went over to this game shop in Gilbert called gamemaster games on Saturday night. I played games with some of the people I met there. One guy was John, who isn't really a regular to that kind of place and was pretty cool. Taylor, who had emailed me about the various game nights in the area. Also Jerry who seems to have a lot of games and loves to plan out his moves. I also played one game with someone named Jake and another person Jason. We played Fire and Axe: A Viking Saga and another game called Industria. Also played this cheapy game called Enemy Chocolatier, which was ok. Sunday I invited Max and his friend from Prescott, Jason, over. We played games of Space Hulk, BattleLore, some random Zombie game, and several games of Cave Troll, which turned out to be pretty decent. Lea will be getting back on Tuesday, I'm looking forward to seeing her again.
